July 2011 is the date set to begin the great adventure GiroAfrica. The expedition was born as GiroAfrica2010, but we will make it one year later, with the best intention to complete every of the aspects and objetives.
The GiroAfrica project is undertaking an expedition through the continent of Africa, using the Autogiro, a brilliant invention of Don Juan de la Cierva as a means of transportation. The biggest challenge is navigating the Autogiro through intercontinental air, however there are many varied goals and challenges, both human and technical that the participants will need to overcome.
